Orientation Program

This page has important information about your student life and includes information on academic advising, registration, and orientation. Please read it carefully. It will help you know what you need to bring and what you can expect at orientation. If you have concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. The CISP is here to assist you. We look forward to meeting you.

Please make sure you read throughly the welcome packet you received with your I-20 before attending orientation. This document provides detail information about registration procedures and other special requirements such as vaccinations.

What can you expect at Orientation?
  1. Learn how to obtain a credit summary/PAWS when transferring from within U.S.
  2. Meet your academic advisor and select your courses if needed
  3. Understand academic and graduation requirements
  4. Receive an explanation of VISA/immigration regulations
  5. Get to know the Center for International Studies and Programs Staff & Peer Advisors
  6. Find out important information about CSU, San Bernardino: student life and campus safety
  7. Have Breakfast (Winter/Spring/Fall Quarters) / Lunch (Fall Quarter )
  8. Complete health insurance requirements and benefits
  9. Make new friends
You must bring to Orientation:
  1. Immigration documents - Passport, signed F-1 I-20/J-1 DS-2019, visa (Canadian students do not need a visa) & I-94
  2. $70 orientation fee
  3. Credit Card Receipt, Check or Money Order, paid to the order of Renaissance Insurance Agency, INC.

Note: If you do not bring items above you will not be able to register for classes.
